Will of The Mark
Long before the first stirrings of humnanoid life. Eberron was a world or darkness. despair. and unchecked evil. The Age of Demons saw the rise of dread powers hideous beings of ullequaled wickedness. These fiends shaped the land in their own image. and spawned countless horrors that infect the world to this day. The combined might or t he dragons and Iheir allies scaled these fiendish overlords in Khyber’s depths, and the Age of Demons was brought to an end. However, the remnants or this terrirying time linger across Eberron. and nowhere is the connection to this age more pronounced than in the ruins of the Demon Wastes.
There is no overarching society amongst the Demon Wastes. The few settlements that lay in the borders of the Demon Wastes are unique and rarely contact the outside world. The most prevalent social groups in the Demon Wastes are the nomadic barbarian tribes. There are two separate groups the Carrion Tribes and the Ghaash’kala. While the Carrion Tribes worship the imprisoned rajahs the orcs of the Ghaash’kala have sworn to prevent evil from escaping the Demon Wastes. In Ashtakala the Lords of Dust hatch their insidious plots while Night Hags content themselves with small groups of devout followers. Despite the varied powers in control across the Demon Wastes there is one consistency, the preponderance of evil.
